Crabada Community Resources Guide
Greetings fellow Crabadians!
As Crabada grow, so does its community. We have new community projects and resources popping up almost every week, it’s hard to keep track of all of them. The quality and amount of work put in has been nothing short of amazing.
This guide will serve as a showcase for popular tools built by the community, as well as an easy way to access them all in one place. I will update this post regularly to include new ones as they come up.
I use all of these tools daily. They have made my Crabada experience so much smoother. A lot of the official tools we have (marketplace, sales information, inventory, etc) are rough around the edges, so it’s nice to see the community stepping up and filling the void. I would rather have the core dev team focus on the upcoming roadmap content (Swimmer Network, Battle Game, and so much more) than having them fix every small bug.
Without further ado, let’s dive in.
Crabada Tracker by @josh and @joseph
This tool has become something I simply cannot live without. It gives all the information and statistics that a player could want, whether your focus is mining, looting, renting or breeding. To start, simply input your wallet address. No need to connect/approve anything with Metamask.
Currently most of the game data only goes back 7 days. This is a limitation of the Crabada API, not the fault of the tool developer. There are plans to fully index this data and make it available at all times in the future. I will give a little breakdown of each tab and how I use them.
Summary: Here is where you can see your combined daily returns from mining, looting and renting. The net profit $ number is calculated using the TUS/CRA price values that were in effect at the time the returns are generated, which is nice. Clicking the down arrow under history will instantly show you the games you played on that day. There is a pretty graph that shows you your daily TUS revenue trend as well.
Mining: More detailed info on your mining operations, with two important stats, Win Rate and Efficiency. With Win Rate, you can assess how well your reinforcement strategy is working for you, and whether Miner’s Revenge is working as intended or not (it is). Efficiency % is based on how many mining missions you complete in a day vs the maximum of 6 / day. Note that if your mining team has 230+ MP, you can have over 100% efficiency.
Looting: The most important stat here is again, Efficiency. It is calculated based on 24 loots possible per day, per team. For a dedicated looter who is looting most of the waking day, 50-70% is a very respectable number. Your efficiency change over a number of days is important to note as well, since it tells you whether you’re improving in your ability to get loots or you’re falling behind vs the competition. Your Win Rate can vary wildly from day to day due to luck, but should converge to 65 - 75% if you’re reinforcing correctly.
Crabada: Now this is where the power of this tool really shows itself! The Crabada tab combines your marketplace and in-game inventory together, and organizes everything you own neatly into categories. You will be able to see at a glance, whether your crabs are in a team and mining/looting (with up to date game info as well!), in the tavern, sitting in your in-game inventory, listed for sale, or in your marketplace inventory.
This tab is so good, it has basically become my go-to page for the game, completely replacing the official marketplace inventory page for me. There are so many great things going for it, especially if you’re a breedooor:
Your Eggs are shown in different colors based on expected class if they’re bred using parents with the same class type.
Hovering over eggs show you detailed genetics information on both parents.
All your eggs and crabs are on the same page and organized based on crab ID number. Anyone who was breeding more than 20 eggs/crabs before this tool knows how painful it is to navigate the default marketplace inventory for breeding.
NEW: as of March 27, 2022, mousing over adult crabs now shows their DNA as well!
All crabs/eggs shown have links to their respective pages on the official site, so you’re only 1 click away from sell / breed / morph.
Breeding: I don’t use this page too often, but it does have some nice historical stats on your breeding. The upcoming hatches graph gives you a good idea on how much TUS you might need in the next days.
Marketplace: A very powerful tab that gives you a complete history of your sales and purchases on the marketplace. It used to be a pain to track your activity, now it’s so easy!
The app is being constantly developed and improved. I have no doubt that when Battle Game and subsequent features rolls out, Crabada Tracker will be right there with us completing the gaming experience.
Unofficial Marketplace by @oxSaturn
This marketplace by oxSaturn serves a similar purpose to the official marketplace, with a few key features that make it more effective and user friendly:
Every crab listing shows breed type and matching breed count i.e. Solana (0/18). No need to click into the crab ID page for this information.
Similarly, each listing has a “Flip” button that shows you the 18 genes of the crab. Super convenient for comparing different crabs if you’re hunting for specific genes.
Battle Game and Idle Game stats are displayed at the same time.
Listings are auto-refreshed periodically and whenever you switch tabs into the page.
Filters you use are saved in the URL, making it easy to bookmark them and access different searches quickly.
Seller’s nickname is shown on the listings. Useful for knowing market participants at a glance.
Besides the marketplace, the site has a number of very useful game statistics as well. There’s crab population distribution by class and purity, egg hatching data by class and purity and team composition aggregate data from all miners and looters. All of these are reliable info that can help you decide what crabs to buy, what faction team to build, what class of crab to breed, and how to plan ahead based on current trends, etc.
And finally, there is a breeding tool that can tell you exactly what genes you can expect out of an egg by 2 particular parents. Just input their crab ID’s and the tool will do all the work for you.
Crab Finder by @Gylve
This one is an oldie but goodie. Still using it every day as a reliable tool to search for pure eggs for sale on the market. All results are 100% pure eggs with both parents having 18/18 pure alleles. There’s no filters built in but you can use ctrl + f to search for classes you’re interested in. The Crab ID link takes you to the marketplace page of the crab so you can buy it there. Pay attention to crab ID’s, as higher ID number means newer egg, and thus longer time to hatch.
Crabada Sales Feed by @Crabmunculus
This is a nice and clean sales feed in Telegram. It only records sales of pure crabs and 5/6 purity crabs, but the data does go back forever. You can use the search function to look up different classes, and get a feel for the real market price based on sales in the last ~24 hours. If you’re already using Telegram, this is a nice and convenient way to stay on top of the market.
In a nascent game such as Crabada, a vibrant, evolving community is paramount to its success. Shout out to the gigachads who worked hard to develop these tools. If you have the means, feel free to support them!
I hope these resources help you in your journeys through Crabada. As we approach the release of Battle Game, there’s no better time to get familiar with all the tools at your disposal. Game complexity is about to go through the roof!
